Classics of LGBT science fiction project
This project was meant to celebrate the diversity of the science-fiction genre by highlighting groundbreaking sci-fi novels from the 60s-80s that were the first to include LGBT people in their visions of the future. To do this, I chose five such novels and redesigned them as part of a hypothetical new collection.
Classics of LGBT science fiction project
I utilized kaleidoscopic colours and old-fashioned type as a homage to the fantastical, psychedelic covers of 70s science fiction. I aimed to give each of the books a distinctive, character-focused cover while also creating a unique, instantly recognizable visual look tying the series.

Penguin Cover Design Award, Children's fiction category
I redesigned the cover of the book Murder Most Unladylike by Robin Stevens for the 2022 Penguin Cover Design Award. Throughout my time at university, I've never really taken the chance to create something with a younger audience in mind, which is why I saw designing a children's book cover as an interesting challenge.

Penguin Cover Design Award, Nonfiction category
While I initially planned on only submitting one cover redesign for the Penguin Cover Design Award - in the children's fiction category - I finished that project with enough time before the deadline still left I decided to challenge myself and create another cover redesign for the competition in only 24 hours. This redesign of Diary of a Young Naturalist by Dara McAnulty is the result of that.
