As a designer I like to make work that is socially driven with a strong focus on aesthetics.

Our Solution

It was an essential part of this campaign to consider a long-term solution for the users of Loughborough charity The Annex. Menstrual cups provide a safe alternative with a product life of up to 10 years, 50 cups were donated by sustainable period company Saalt.

Talk - Say How You Feel

My semester 1 project “Lets Do It Right: Sex and Consent” was produced as a campaign collaboration with the Loughborough Consent & Sexual Health Society (LSUCASH). The editorial zine focused on opening the conversation around consent and sexual health education for 15/16-year-old boys.

Yes Means Yes

Studies have shown affirmative consent is more effective than “No means No”. Using affirmative consent also removes the ‘normal’ way in which boys ‘convince’ girls into saying yes. Thus, the idea is to remove the pressure that has become a part of courtship.

Porn Is Unrealistic

Porn was identified as a major issue for young people regarding the blurred lines of consent. The zine focuses on differentiating between porn and reality, as a survey revealed many young people used this as means of educating themselves where sexual education has failed them.

Virginity Is A Hoax

The notion of virginity and its negative connotations was a topic that frequently came up within the primary research that was conducted for this project. The zine aims to normalise taking your time and disregarding outdated perspectives.
