Best Team Project - School Project 2020 - sponsored by Murphy Philipps

The School Project (2nd year) was in collaboration with a primary school in Peterborough, which wished for an enclosed flexible space that embraced the connection between indoors and outdoors while sparking creativity and ambitions in the minds of the students. With a limited budget and a focus on sustainability, there was a strong emphasis on implementing low-cost solutions, with the overall design needing to provide sources of income for the school.

Work Experience

As part of my undergraduate degree, I worked for a year in the Copenhagen-based firm Holscher Nordberg Architecture and Planning, where I was involved in a range of projects from master planning competitions such as The Railway City in Copenhagen to smaller-scale residential planning. This gave me an insight into the daily life of architectural practice and the relationship between client and professional while allowing me to further develop professional communication as well as digital rendering skills.
