I was awarded the Cult Pens Architecture Prize (February 2019) for best axonometric hand drawing in the first-year cohort and was subsequently nominated for Outstanding Student Performance (June 2019).

Work Experience

During my placement year with Michael Conoley Associates, I was responsible for the conversion of topographical surveys into the relevant architectural style, as well as the production of planning and presentation drawings using AutoCAD and Photoshop. I have separately undertaken both Revit and AutoCAD training courses with Graitec. Having researched planning histories and written Design and Access Statements, I am confident in my ability to compile the documents required for a planning application, though I look forward to learning about the intricacies of more complex projects. My placement has also developed my understanding of local planning policy, as well as my ability to balance numerous concurrent jobs and prioritise tasks effectively. As such, I am happy working under pressure to meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high-quality output. My involvement in client meetings and site visits also led to confidence in communicating professionally with clients and consultants, in person, over the phone and through email.
