Ecolip
Ecolip
In 2021 there were 2.3 million unused lipsticks in British homes. Often, this is because the lipstick is no longer worn but cannot be returned nor donated. These are kept until they expire and then thrown away, contributing to the one billion that end up in landfills annually.
Ecolip is the world's first recycled lipstick brand. Users recycle their unwanted lipsticks (even if they're used!) and we turn them into brand new ones which they can purchase.
How it works
Users can check if their unwanted lipsticks are suitable to recycle on our mobile website. If they are, users can recycle them at our stand in their local drugstore. These lipsticks are taken to a manufacturing facility where they are separated, sanitised and remanufactured into brand new lipsticks.
Packaging
Users can buy these recycled lipsticks in store for £8.60; at the same stand, they recycle their unwanted lipsticks. Given the unpredictability of what lipsticks will be recycled, the shades run in large, limited-edition batches. They come in compostable packaging, making their production zero waste.
Allo
In the U.K alone, 2M have a diagnosed food allergy and 1/3 have had to change their lifestyle to avoid an allergic reaction.
Allo aims to reduce the anxiety of food allergen sufferers when eating out and empower them to try new food, using an IOT connected device.
How Allo works
Allo's food allergen scanner uses e-sensing technology to analyse the chemical composition of food to determine whether it is safe for the user to eat. This is communicated to the user via the app, which also recommends restaurants and dishes based on their dietary requirements.
Freelance
I freelanced for an edu-tech startup that empowers students to find career opportunities. I designed a responsive design system and used this to create a high fidelity prototype of their website.

Work Experience
UX Freelance | Confidential Client | 2022
I worked for an edu-tech startup aiming to empower students to find career opportunities. I conducted a UX review of their low fidelity wireframes before creating high fidelity screens in a working prototype. In doing so, I also built a responsive design system which will enable them to continue building out their service. These designs were used in user testing and stakeholder pitches.
Online Digital Creativity Tutor | Kodland | 2021-2022
I believe teaching others is the best way to consolidate my own knowledge and find it incredibly rewarding to witness people's progression. I taught Digital Creativity classes to children aged 8-12 which focus on skills such as illustration, animation and 3D character design. I also participated in 1-1 mentoring of students who had their own ideas they wanted to pursue, such as a design-focused Youtube channel.
Design Intern | IBM | 2020-2021
My primary role as a UX consultant where I worked in a range of sectors such as healthcare, government and finance. I was entrusted to lead design work from discovery to delivery individually but also have experience working in cross-functional teams of varying sizes.
