A user-focused designer with a passion for UI and UX work, looking to generate solutions that improve users' quality of life.

Shine Panels

As part of a week-long live project, I delivered a solution that focused on providing an experience for better care at home. Shine panels encourage children with autism to become more independent in their daily routines. Users will set up the modular panel system on a wall and activate them with the adjacent app. As each task is carried out, for example, eating breakfast, the user can touch the panel that will light up, indicating that the task is complete.

Bloom Device

The Bloom device aims to reduce the effects of anxiety and other mental health issues through social and individual interactions developed via a plant monitoring app. The physical device works by being placed in a plant pot, where the face will show a series of emojis or symbols to indicate the plant's status. The user can then navigate to the app for further details, promoting the social connection element of the solution.

Bloom App

The Bloom device also features an accompanying app for users to connect with friends and encourage positive conversation. The element of monitoring plants acts as a vessel to guide users toward the app to find out further details about their plants. For example, a user may use the app to find out how much water their plant needs, notice their friend's plant is dying and can send a message to check on their friend.
