My art practice revolves around a contemporary notion of self portraiture. Working through an experimental approach using the artistic traits garnered from my time on the fine art course with my learnt understanding of concept art and film.
My art practice revolves around a contemporary form of self-portraiture. Fuelled by a subconscious dreamlike playfulness, personal experience, and exploration of my surroundings from childhood till the present. Aimed to create an encapsulating environment. Which entices the viewer's gaze, drawing the audience into a snippet of my mind, influenced by art, popular culture and lived experience.
During my time on the Fine art course, I have been pushed beyond my known boundaries, not only by the teaching and my hunger for learning but also by the circumstances. Adapting and overcoming challenging times, my work has evolved into something different and unique. I did not expect my practice to change this dramatically but I’m constantly striving for better and more complete work which encapsulates my current ideas and visions. I’m hoping with the correct attitude and opportunities I can work in film and progress my way to a career in concept art, which I think will suit my creative initiative.
