Street Needs
Street Needs
Street Needs is a non-profit organisation that creates tokens worth £1 that can be given to rough sleepers to redeem necessities including food, drinks, clothing and hygiene products. The money spent on the tokens will be distributed to homeless charities and retailers and back into running the organisation. When rough sleepers are given money, a majority of them spend it on drugs and alcohol. This can potentially fuel addiction and have fatal consequences. This alternative to money will ensure rough sleepers acquire necessities.
Street Needs Shop Sticker
The tokens will be sold and redeemed in fast-food restaurants, supermarkets and chemists. These shops are affordable and being franchises, easily accessible. Rough sleepers can redeem tokens for clothing from the big versions of the supermarkets. There will be a sticker of the organisation’s logo on shop windows, to let the audience and rough sleepers know that the tokens are sold and redeemed here. The tokens will be placed in a box on the till counter. The audience can also purchase tokens for rough sleepers through self-service kiosks at fast-food restaurants and supermarkets. A message would appear when they check out, asking if they would like to add a token to their order. They would collect their tokens with their order at fast-food restaurants. Tokens would come out of the change slot at supermarkets.
Street Needs Aisle Sign
Rough sleepers will only be able to redeem food, drinks, clothing and hygiene products with the Street Needs sticker on them. This is so they redeem affordable items and can therefore get more necessities. In fast-food restaurants, the sticker will be placed on the menu next to the redeemable item. A key will inform the rough sleeper of what the sticker means. Signs will be put up along the aisles to inform rough sleepers that items with this sticker are redeemable with their Street Needs token.
Street Needs Marketing
Four different posters would go up to advertise the organisation. They would be placed in urban areas since this is where my audience would frequent. Each poster shows a rough sleeper either holding food, a drink, clothing or a hygiene product; and states that you can help them obtain this item. This tells the audience that the organisation helps rough sleepers get necessities. The social media and logo are placed at the bottom, encouraging the audience to seek more information. A social media account will also advertise the organisation.
Winterly
Winterly is a winter clothing rental service for people that live in hot countries all year round that travel about once a year. The service exists to help these people when going on holiday to cold destinations. It would save them money. Rather than spending a lot of money on winter clothing that they would hardly wear, they can rent it for a much cheaper price. Moreover, it exists to help the environment through reusing clothing. Reusing clothing is better than purchasing clothes since fewer resources are used and fewer carbon emissions and waste is produced. There would be a variety of brands to choose from, to meet everyone's style needs. Customers select which airport they will be arriving at from a selection of popular cold destinations. They then proceed to book the items they want for the duration of their travels.
Winterly Airport Kiosk
Customers will collect their Winterly package at the airport they are arriving at. They will present their order number at the kiosk to receive their package. There will be stickers on the airport floor guiding customers to the kiosk.
Winterly Packaging
Customers would receive their rentals in a box made out of recycled cardboard. The box has a durable handle attached to it, this is so the customer can carry it comfortably out of the airport. There is a checklist on the side of the box, confirming to the customer what is inside their box. The clothes come wrapped in elegant, recycled paper, and have attached to them a label with the item's care instructions and confirmation that it has been wet washed. A thank you note would also be inside informing the customer on how and when to return their items.
Winterly Marketing
Three posters would go up in airports of hot countries advertising the app.
