I am an illustrator and designer, specialising in conceptual work and character design.

Storyboard and Animatic Design

This storyboard is the finalised design which was used to create a 60-second animatic, helping to direct the final timing and flow of the animation.

Animation Still Frame

The final trailer was animated at 25 frames per second, hand-painted in Procreate and later edited in Adobe After Effects and Power Director. This frame is just one of hundreds that were hand-drawn from scratch, each depicting up to twenty separately moving animated elements.

Interior Building Design Illustration

Each frame had to lead on from the last and coherently work as a stand-alone image in order to create an animation of the highest quality. The interior aesthetic of buildings was also explored and designed with special care taken for the ongoing dystopian and futuristic aesthetic of the animation.

Editorial Design

For an editorial and illustration centric project, I designed a Lookbook for a new prosthetic limb design by Aviya Serfaty. This work was developed with insight from young, female amputees and features an illustrated collection of subverted famous paintings, depicting beautiful female forms with fashionable prosthetic legs, alongside carefully chosen typography and layout designs.

'Venus' Illustration for Editorial Project

This illustration features a fashion illustration-inspired female form with a prosthetic limb. My work was heavily influenced by famous paintings and aimed to subvert expectations of beauty within editorial spreads and depict how elegance and fashion could work hand-in-hand with medical devices.

Awards

A key achievement of mine is winning an illustration competition in 2021 which allowed me to collaborate with the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) in Kyoto, Japan. I designed a detailed infographic, graphic recording and logo design for the Sustainability and Multispecies campaign, which has been taught to University Students in Japan and displayed in exhibitions. My work had since been used as a reference in academic papers, documentation and student thesis'.
