I believe that good design is about understanding who you are designing for and delivering solutions that are beautiful, creative and meaningful.

Glide - A ceramic trimmer that encourages safe pubic hair removal practices for all female hair and body types
Glide
There is a distinct lack of education for women on how to safely remove pubic hair. Over 75% of women have experienced clinical complications including cuts, ingrown hairs and severe itching when shaving, waxing or epilating. Glide is a ceramic trimmer designed to reduce the risk of injury or infection when removing pubic hair.
Glide - Adjustable Head
Glide is a small trimmer with an adjustable hinge mechanism, allowing the head to be set to one of 4 angles. This allows the user to reach sensitive areas without getting into awkward positions.
Glide - Blades
Unlike traditional razors, the Glide trimmer utilises a ceramic blade. Ceramic is a more gentle alternative to steel, meaning the trimmer can cut through coarse or curly hair without clogging, nicking or pulling.
Glide - App
Education in correct pubic hair removal practices is vital in reducing the likelihood of injury or infection when grooming. The Glide app provides a safe space for women to learn about hair removal and hygiene, through professional advice and information. Within the community, women can share their experiences without judgement or attached stigma.
Oma - Understanding Colostomies.
A colostomy is when a part of your large bowel or colon is pulled through from an incision made on your abdomen to form a stoma. Common reasons why you may need a stoma include bowel cancer, bladder cancer, Crohn’s Disease or an obstruction to the bladder or bowel.
Oma - Living with a Colostomy.
Ostomates may constantly worry about their stoma leaking or smelling, creating fear and embarrassment. Maintaining a stoma can be tiresome, especially for new ostomates. When living with a stoma, outdoor activities require lots of prior planning and preparation to avoid disaster.
Oma - A Smart Sensor for Ostomates.
OMA detects if an ostomy bag is leaking around the stoma, and sends the user a text so that they have time to discretely change the bag before the waste gets on their clothes. This provides the user with peace of mind.

Work Experience
During my placement year, I worked in the fast-moving consumer goods industry for a global packaging manufacturer. I was involved in rapid concept creation, developing skills in sketching, visualisation and prototyping, as well as adapting to strict deadlines both alone and within a team.
