Final year project
Happy Modern Families
Happy Modern Families
This project was a redesign of the classic children's game 'Happy families'. In modern times the classic family structure has changed. My project was all about celebrating different family structures and showing that not all families have to be nuclear to be 'happy'.
The set of cards
This is the set of cards and logos that I designed for the game. This shows 4 families, with more time I would like to create 8 families.
A family set
This is an example of one of the families I designed (The Rose Family), it features two mums, their child and a pet cat.
Packaging Gif
This shows the packaging I designed, it's a house with windows with the characters showing through the windows.
Penguin book cover competition
I loved this project, the book is a children's book which follows two characters in a murder mystery at a boarding school in the 30s.
Magazine cover design : Space edition
This magazine cover was all about a new space station being built, I created this illustration using a digital collage and was inspired by surreal space collages.
Science fiction article illustration
Here I created two editorial illustrations based on an article all about how science fiction films are not taken seriously enough at the Oscars.
Batsford Illustration competition
The keywords were connection and communication, I based my illustration on how music can connect us and sharing it can make us feel better connected. Sharing music could brighten up those dull commutes.
