PROVENANCE : The Future of Fashion
PROVENANCE
PROVENANCE provides users with the data to make informed decisions, embrace both sustainable and ethical fashion and look good with a clear conscience. Blockchain technology is employed to verify that the data stored in the system is immutable and auditable, making it the most trustworthy mechanism to communicate authoritative information to the consumer.
Desktop Plug in
The goal is to efficiently supply consumers with information and encourage, in a non-intrusive way, more conscious consumer choices. As brands begin to disclose more data, customer trust will start to increase in a manner that will alter the fashion landscape to create a new normal of openness and honesty.
Mobile Scanner
The lack of transparency in the fashion industry enables mainstream brands to conceal their modi operandi. As a result, consumers do not know which players they trust. This service allows consumers to quickly gain insights into the product so they can make informed decisions.
How It Works
This service builds relationships between the supply chain, brand, and consumer and, in doing so, works towards a more transparent future. The consumer gains intelligent insights about how and where their clothes were made, as well as being educated on how to best care for & pass on their apparel. In this way, the service establishes an end-to-end solution.
Process
A multifaceted design process was taken for this project, with a strong user-centric approach. The process has been iterative, and many challenges have been overcome to create the most tangible yet desirable solution.
