Capable and hardworking, I'm interested in solving difficult problems and learning new things.

Repairware - A systematic approach to the design of products for maintenance and repair.
repairware
Small home appliances are seen as disposable items, they break often and are thrown away rather than repaired and maintained. The project proposes an alternative path, with products designed for longevity, providing the user with the tools and guidance to fix their things.
Principled Approach
A steam iron and repair tool was built as a proof of concept, with disassembly in mind from the start, be it for cleaning or repairs. Components are either standard, easily replaceable if damaged, or easy to manufacture again locally.
Repair Tool
The tool provided with the appliance is the only thing necessary to diagnose and repair the appliance. The housing contains an Allen key and a continuity testing PCB.
Labelling
Labelling has been designed to provide users with no prior experience with all the information necessary on the appliance itself.
Panomicron Chromium
Compact cameras are one of the most popular categories of cameras, among amateurs to professionals. With the resurgence of film, photography compacts are being more and more sought after. I decided to lay the groundwork for an open-source compact camera so that people could build their own with available parts.
The Panomicron Chromium is an open-source compact film camera. All of its files are available and free to download and modify. The camera takes square 24x24mm images on 35mm film. It features automatic film advancement and an electronically controlled shutter.

Wrist Watch
During the summer of 2021, I found out that watch movements were a lot more affordable than I had previously imagined. As a fun project to exercise my surface modelling, algorithmic modelling, and CNC machining skill I decided to make a watch for myself. CAD-CAM was done in Fusion & Grasshopper, milled on the Carbide3D Nomad 3.
The watch dial was made using Rhino and Grasshopper. I wrote a simple script which varies the displacement depth of the centres of a Voronoi pattern.
Surface Modelling
Philips razor surface modelled from scan data for the Computer-Aided Modelling and Manufacture module.

Work Experience
Makino Design - 2021, I spent 6 months at Makino Design during my placement year. There, I was part of a small team focused on ideation and concept proposals, as well as some functional prototyping and promotional material for trade shows.
