School Scenarios That Make Me Anxious
School Scenarios That Make Me Anxious is a booklet that illustrates how children with Social Anxiety may react to common school situations. The visual identity largely differs from the usual material used to teach children about mental health - it features 3D illustrations that visualise the different thoughts and feelings that may arise during social interactions. The booklet would be distributed, as part of a package, in schools as a light introduction to learning about mental health.

The Voices in the Shadow
The Voices in the Shadow is a book that was released by TLA Black Women in Tech to inspire young black women to enter the technology field. My task was to create a video that illustrated what "The Voices in the Shadow" is all about. It features a story about a girl named Grace and how she was inspired by the book to become a woman in Tech. This video was presented on Kickstarter to encourage the public to make donations towards the production of the book.

Work Experience
I worked at 3 Colours Rule, a branding agency in London during my placement. The team consisted of 7 interns comprised of marketers and designers. The small group provided an excellent environment to learn new skills while working on projects, sometimes led by me or collaboratively. I did various branding projects that required different skills, such as making social media posts, web design and animation. I faced challenges regarding time management while juggling multiple projects that had different deadlines. I overcame this by making plans at the beginning of each day and allocating time to each task. My internship encouraged me to use apps that I had never used such as Canva, WordPress, Adobe Audition or Adobe XD; all of which I can now say I am confident with. My placement year has provided me with a good insight into life as a graphic designer outside of the university and how to meet client demands. I believe that I’m a more rounded designer after the experience and am more knowledgeable about using a variety of applications and techniques.
