I enjoy various kinds of illustration work, especially book, editorial and character design.

Oscar's Oddities - Welcome Page
This is the first page of my magazine 'Oscar's Oddities'. It features an illustration of the character Oscar, who is the main part of the magazine's identity. He is welcoming the reader with a summary of the issue, which is themed around British Folklore. The magazine is aimed at KS2 students who are interested in the spooky and strange and perhaps feel like outsiders.
Murder Most Unladylike - Book Cover Design
This is my entry for the Penguin Cover Design Award 2022 in the children's category. I designed a front and back cover for Murder Most Unladylike by Robin Stevens.
The Tudor Feast - Illustration Spread
This is a double-page spread from my children's book 'The Tudor Feast', which I created in Semester 1 of my final year. The Tudor Feast is a resource to help introduce primary school students to the topic of rich Tudor food. It is designed to be used as a revision tool alongside regularly taught lessons and utilises fun illustration work to demonstrate these concepts. All of my illustrations were drawn using ink and paintbrush and coloured digitally.
The Phantom of the Opera - Book Trove
For one of my projects in Semester 1 of my final year, I created a book club for teenagers themed around gothic literature and titled 'Book Trove'. My outcomes consisted of social media branding, book boxes, three book covers, bookmarks, and a 12-paged leaflet about the genre. Here is my book cover redesign for The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux.

The Tudor Feast - Illustration Spread

Work Experience
Alongside my studies, I have advertised my work on social media and worked on many art commissions. Some of these were real people and pet portraits, although I have also drawn lots of characters in my own style. I designed food labels for a small business in my area and was a part of a charity fanzine titled 'What We Create in the Shadows' which was released in April 2021 and raised over $2,000 for Refugees International.
I sell cards and prints of my illustration work on Etsy, and I have plans to expand my shop after graduation.
