My design approach pulls from the skills of my personal passions, whether that be painting, special effects makeup, film/photography or CAD and supplements this with the technical skills I have in mechanics, electronics and coding.

Blackout bourbon - bottle

A week-long design project to create a bottle for the fictitious brand Blackout bourbon, inspired by 1920s prohibition-era America. My first short turnover design project it developed my skills in project planning and priority.

Blackout bourbon - Render in environment

A render in its intended environment of use to demonstrate scale.

WWF shopping scanner - Render 1

Another week-long design task was to create a product for a service-based brand (WWF). The scanner makes use of the growing trend in RFID labels to provide users with more sustainable shopping options on the go. This project taught me to incorporate and study a brand's ideals and culture into a product.

WWF shopping scanner - Render 2

The scanner can be placed into its charging port above a recycling bin, when users are unsure if a package can be recycled they scan the label and the device informs them of the correct procedure for disposal.

Flea free - Aesthetic model

A pair of devices is used to monitor weather conditions and provide flea treatment to pets when deemed necessary. This project was my first attempt at more complex prototyping.

Work Experience

During the summer of 2017, I was involved as a creative to set up a local event which sponsors a different charity each year. I had volunteered with the charity sponsored that year before and was put in a team to help create a layout for the event as well as personally being responsible for graphics design work and on-site photography for the event. This experience highlighted to me the importance of community engagement and the consistent, precise planning that is required to meet larger deadlines.
