Eggshell embossed into paper

Initial developments stemmed from this eggshell embossed paper experiment with handmade paper.

Eggshell sampling with Terracotta Clay

Fired at a higher temperature this made the eggshells oxidise and change colour, these were really interesting to experiment with during the development stages of the project. Incorporating eggshells from the allotment within the project made it more personal and adds a new sustainable aspect to the collection.

Work Experience

Suzie Turner Couture
At Suzie Turner, I developed a range of skills to a couture level including Hand embroidery, crystal embellishments design development and pattern cutting. The skills learnt there enabled me to be more confident with hand embroidery techniques that I have utilised in my collection.

Abigail's Vintage Bridal
At Abigail's, I had a lot of 1-2-1 which allowed me to develop more skills and techniques that I used throughout my degree. I got to see how a small business is run and was included in admin and interacting with clients. I learnt a range of skills such as how to professionally finish edges and pattern cutting.
