I love to be creative and exploratory in my design, thinking outside the box to solve problems.

Reducing freeze of gait in Parkinson's patients using existing cueing techniques
AYUDA - The key to Independence
Ayuda is an assistive walking stick, designed to help Parkinson's patients regain independence and confidence. Imagine walking down the street and getting stuck to the spot, you're unable to take another step forward - you're frustrated, stressed, and embarrassed. This is a common symptom of Parkinson's disease, referred to as freeze of gait (FoG). Ayuda predicts an oncoming FoG using sensors in the base of the walking stick. This triggers a vibrational pulse in the handle, giving the user a beat to begin walking to.
Ayuda - Bespoke
Each handle has a wood component that is machined and handcrafted to fit perfectly within the design. The metal collar around the neck of the design allows the user to place a phone number, contact name, or even just a chosen pattern to create an individual walking stick that ages with them through the disease.
Ayuda - Charging
Magnetic stands are located in the user's bedroom, allowing the walking stick to be wirelessly charged overnight. The magnetic fastening allows the user to independently place their stick on a charge, no matter how intense their tremors may be or how painful their joints feel that day. The bottom stand lights up to inform the user that charging has begun and when it has finished charging.
Google Capture & ReCall
Google Capture & ReCall is a product designed to improve a person's last few days of life. It is designed to alleviate the taboo around death and allow the user to take control of the time they have left - making it a celebration of the life that has been lived.
Google Capture
The capture device captures key memories in a person's life. This could include playing with friends as a child, getting married, having a baby, or simply having a fulfilling day with family.
Google ReCall
Through projection, sound, room temperature, and tactile feedback, Google ReCall replays the memories recorded by Google Capture throughout a user's life. It creates an immersive experience allowing the user and their family to relive the happier days.
MoMed
MoMed is a mobile medication service inspired by reusable packaging. The medication in is a returnable, sterilisable, and refillable solution that allows the packaging to stay in circulation until damaged.
MoMed - Service
The solution is a service-based design that allows automatic reordering of prescriptions and incorporates collection into the user's daily routine. The medication is distributed in a mobile bus that stops at set locations on a route. This means the user can collect their medication at the supermarket as they do their weekly shopping, or on their way to work.

Work Experience
ESP Fitness - 3D Concept Designer
ESP is a fitness company that specialises in installing world-leading training facilities for athletes and sports teams. As concept designers, we designed and produced high-quality interior renders of gym layouts and any custom equipment. These spaces ranged from small, single rooms in English homes, to full-sized sports facilities in India.
Throughout my time at ESP, I had the time to develop my engineering drawings as well as the appropriate language and layout to include in assembly manuals. As a placement student, I was expected to turn my hand to anything, and I thrived in this environment. Learning how to work effectively as a team in a busy workshop and communicating with clients on-site were key skills.
My most valuable experience whilst working at ESP was installing a University gym. I was the only female on a four-week installation, containing over 50 builders and labourers. This was the most challenging experience, but by getting involved in the team, I was able to grow so much as a person, both physically and mentally.
