The Bathhouse
Aerial view of the bathhouse on site. The walkable roof drops down to create cohesive divisions between spaces, fluid transitions between levels and insulation of the outdoor hot spring warmed with excess heat from the underground tunnel network.
Exploded Axo
The floor and ceiling are complex beam networks that are pressed and pulled strategically to create divisions between spaces. This, combined with the roof's permeable and adaptive shell creates a space that has no need for walls, and instead functions as an extension of nature.
Site Research
Overlapping areas of interest highlighted key characteristics of the site to be later distilled into key focal points of the project.
