My work focuses on designing for marginalized and vulnerable groups. My design approach is based on gaining a deep understanding of their needs, wants and desires. I try to produce solutions that are beautiful and intuitive, but above all helpful to the users and deliver meaningful benefits to their lives, or as I would put it, creating ‘impact through empathy’.

Work Experience

Sand and Birch
For my year in Industry, I had the opportunity to live in Rome and immerse myself in Italian culture, where I was mentored by Italian designers who specialised in bespoke furniture. During this placement, my creativity was explored and enhanced through a variety of unique projects, including furniture, home accessories, menu and video game design.

Kennedy Woods
During my opportunity to work for the architecture firm Kennedy Woods, I was able to help research wayfinding techniques for Emilia Clarke’s brain injury charity, SameYou. A promotional package that I was able to assist with production was then sent to 60 of the most influential people in America including Bill Gates, Barack Obama and Richard Plepler.

Revealing Reality
During my time working for Revealing Reality, I explored the effects of gambling addiction for the government, to help come up with design solutions to combat this. As well as exploring BBC's Good Food magazine and why their new design created a decline in sales.
