I am a designer with a flair and passion for all things creative and I love seeing my ideas and concepts come to fruition. I am very interested in healthcare design as I like to see my designs make a difference and help people’s lives.

Making the oxygen delivery system a more comfortable experience for people with COPD
nO2madic
nO2madic is a lightweight refillable oxygen cylinder that contains liquid oxygen encased in a carbon fibre cylinder. The carbon fibre cylinder is almost 45% lighter than a conventional oxygen cylinder. nO2madic is for people who suffer from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Refillable oxygen tank
The carbon fibre oxygen cylinder connects to the top plastic casing by the user screwing it in.
In context
nO2madic is small enough for a person to carry around with them using a strap over the shoulder.
Exploded view
nO2madic consisted of a lightweight oxygen cylinder and a plastic casing with the valve and water in to allow for humidified oxygen.
Plastic casing sketch
nO2madic has the option to provide the user with humidified oxygen to prevent nasal dryness. This is done by having a bubble through a humidifier in a plastic container in the top half of the product.
Nasal cannula plug in
The nasal cannula tubing is plugged into the top of the plastic casing to allow oxygen to flow up the tube to deliver oxygen to the user.
Flow rate detectors
If the oxygen flow rate goes too high, motion sensors detect this from the flow meter inside the casing which turns on the lights. The lights indicate the level of flow rate.
Earpiece
The earpiece supports the nasal cannula position over the ear to provide comfort for the user.

Work Experience
I undertook a year’s industrial placement with MechTech automation group- Mechatronics. This company is a leader in manufacturing and automation robotics Autonomous mobile robots (AMR). The role involved a wide range of projects developing automotive solutions to solve complex manufacturing challenges. I work closely with clients to determine their needs. I was involved in meetings with engineers and senior management to discuss client projects. I redeveloped the website and advertising and developed my CAD skills in all aspects of the work.
